Since my photoshop just stopped to work, and I was tired of the previous theme, I decided to change here. Of course, it’s not what I wanted, but I loved this theme.
I dropped some sites last week. I’m trying to mantain sites only for person that I’m really fan, because mantain a website is really hard specially if you don’t have much free time. So I gave Julia Stiles Fan (I like her, but not a dying fan), Michelle was helping me with Law of Desire but, honestly, I’m tired of Jude’s face. I still like his work, still think he’s so fucking gorgeous, but I’m not in the mood to make a fansite on him anymore. And told Gertie to delete Jennifer Tilly one. I’ve adopted this one because it was the only fansite online on her, but I’m not her fan, so I think it won’t be funny mantain the website.
Do you hate closing websites? I do. But I hate more having a website and don’t have any passion on it. Being fan is the mandatory thing when you have a fansite on someone, so now I’ll think twice before apply to a new one.

You’re right, I also gave away some sites that I don’t have passion for anymore.

You know, I don’t think I’ve ever really run a fan site for someone I haven’t been a big fan of. My first ever fan site I launched in 2002 for Elijah Wood; a miserable effort of a fan site, but it was all very new to me then. Gosh, I was such a fan! I’ve since then run fan sites for Johnny Depp, Salma Hayek, Alyssa Milano, Liv Tyler, Natalie Portman, Hugh Jackman, Milla Jovovich, Chloë Sevigny, Lacey Chabert, Ewan McGregor, Jennifer Garner, Robert Sean Leonard and Tricia Helfer. Only Lacey was someone whom I wasn’t a tremendous fan of, although I did and do like her.
I love all four girls I run fan sites for right now (Tricia, Natalie, Milla and Chloë). It’s so difficult letting a site go, and I have to confess I’m often too selfish to give a site away for someone else to run. My Johnny site (another miserable 2003 effort, by the way) I closed, a fate that was also shared by my Liv, Robert, Ewan, Jennifer and Lacey sites, and my 1st Natalie site. Alyssa and Salma I only ever co-owned. In fact, my Hugh Jackman fan site is the only one I ever gave away, and even then I gave it to someone I knew well enough and trusted. At any rate, it was such a large site (and the only big Hugh site around) I felt I had an obligation to leave it online. Heck, even getting co-webs is bloody difficult for me.
Giving away sites you’re not that interested in running is good, though. When I lost interest in Hugh, updating the site became such a drag. I can’t run a website for someone I’m not that crazy about. My four girls are all celebrities I love following up on, so updating is a pleasure. That’s how it should be with fan sites.
